Elder Kyle Jensen:

"Each week (Friday) we get to do a thing called Teaching Resource Center. Volunteers sign up to receive lessons from the missionaries. The volunteers can be anyone who knows the language, member, non-member, investigator or whatever. Going and teaching in this situation really made me realize my progress I'm making in Korean! I have to have a shout out to my Chinese teacher Mrs. Done for being an amazing teacher and helping me with a wonderful foundation to an Asian language. Listening and comprehension has been incredible because I'm understanding so much. It's been nice because even with all the stresses of the language, I'm not worrying to much about Korean. My mind may change when I get to the field, but I'll be sure to stay positive haha."

"A thought I had sometime during the week about how Christ lives. We stand as representatives of Christ, as well as the Quorum of the Twelve and First Presidency. I finally understand one way of how Christ lives again. Christ lives again THROUGH his missionaries and his prophets as well as those who are worthily and righteously live their lives. Live your life so Christ can live through you."

"There was a quote from President Holland that said, "More important than speaking is listening." That struck a chord so hard for me. Those of you who know me, I'm a fairly quiet person to say the least haha, but I LOVE to listen. I could listen for days, and when necessary, I speak haha. It reminded me of the quote that went something like, "Always bear your testimony, and when necessary, use words." I've definitely been blessed with a talent for listening, and that's one thing I miss most about home is listening to my family and friends and how I could possibly help. But to fill that space, I get to listen to the people in Korea, and how joyous that will be for me! This thought came up because I asked my teacher a question one day because I wanted to know the needs of my investigator but I couldn't understand everything they were saying. I realized that as long as I'm utililizing my talent of listening that the Spirit will fill my mouth with the words I need to speak. I haven't quite had that experience yet, but when it does happen my testimony will grow so much."

"We got to listen to John H. Groben. He wrote a book that got made into the movie called The Other Side of Heaven. He mentioned the different ways we bear testimony. He summarized it into six points. We bear testimony of what we say, what we do, what we sing, how we pray, what we write, and who we are. There are so many opportunities for us to bear testimony of Christ and His Gospel. Seize every opportunity for we are promised blessings like this: D&C 62:3

3 Nevertheless, ye are blessed, for the testimony which ye haveborne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon; and theyrejoice over you, and your sins are forgiven you."

Elder Will Hansen:

"This week marks my fourth week at the mtc. I leave here in 11 days, and i am so excited to get to work. Obviously, i have so so  much left to do, so much more growth that I need to do that the Lord needs of me, but I have felt his hand in my life, and it is a wonderful experience, to be able to feel the subtle changes, even in these four short week here."

"One thing about this week is that I am especially glad for the priesthood. Elder Keller got a priesthood blessing because he was super duper crazy sick, but elder Eyre blessed him, and he rested and now he is on the mend, and it made me realize how blessed I am and how many of us are, to have to opportunity so close to us, to have that authority of god, so near to us!" 

"Pday is preceded by a day we like to call pday eve, where we play satu (UNO) eat junk food that we have recieved, and take pictures of us sitting in a room. its pretty chill cuz we are exhausted but we still have some fun. And I got to eat salsa, which i have decided Im gonna miss so much. I love that stuff. also elder keller got some sticky hand things from his girlfriend so we ran around and hit paper and grabbed other peoples stuff with them, which was really fun, it made elder keller cry cuz he was laughing so hard!"

" I have service days tuesday mornings, and for the third week in a row I have scrubbed walls for two hours, and Im worried im doing such a good job that they will make me stay to scrub all the walls."

"Got here Wednesday and I was so stoked to be here at the MTC!! It's great! I'm figuring everything out now finally, which I'm really grateful for! After feeling super excited for most of Wednesday, Wednesday night I was like WHOA... It was nuts, in that moment I was so humbled to have this opportunity, and I've been praying freaking hard for strength and the Spirit ever since!  I'm doing much better now, so our prayers do get answered!"

"Yesterday, my companion, Elder Butler, and I taught our first lesson to an 'investigator" in Spanish, and it was so cool! Granted we had to write most of the doctrinal things we wanted to say, but I was able to understand nearly everything our investigator said, I was able to fill in all the spaces that I needed to, and when we taught simple truths and bore our testimonies, the Spirit was there! So cool! The Spirit speaks the same language to all of us, and I'm so grateful for that!"

"This morning we did sealings at the temple, and holy cow! The Spirit was SO strong! I was blown away, and I loved every second of it! Families are forever, it's so true! AAH! The Gospel's true!"

"There has been so many moments so far explaining to me why I have been called to this mission, at this specific time of my life.  I have so many stories, so many spiritual experiences, SO much to say and I'm kinda just freakin out right now because time will fly!"

"I was made the district leader of district 109 and they are all incredible."

"The first night, I got my haircut.... sooo funny.  This Peruvian guy walks into the room and just starts pointing at people.  A few go before me and then he points at me, and I'm like, whoa my hair is fine, but my Spanish is still buried like way deep in my brain so I was like sure let's do it for the experience.  The guy was like a ninja with those scissors!"

"Guess what, I hear my alarm clock every morning.  It's incredible!"

"This is where I'm meant to be.  There has been so many things that have happened so far that have confirmed to me why I did exec, why things happened before to prepare me for my mission!"

"We placed our first Libro de Mormon with a random lady in Peru and then sang himnos on the busy street in Lima and the Spirit was sooo strong!!"

"There have been times when without a doubt, the Lord has helped me and put the Indonesian words in my mouth.  I had to first study them out and practice, but in my time of need, through the Holy Ghost, the words were brought to my remembrance."

"It doesn't necessarily mater about the words which are spoken, or even if you understand them.  It's the Spirit you feel.  One of our teachers did a role play and ended with a Korean prayer.  The Elder involved felt the Spirit so much not because he understood but because he realized that our teacher was praying about and for him."

"Our numbers are growing dramatically here.  Each week, we have around 200 people come but only 30 or 40 missionaries leave.  We have somewhere close to 1,000 missionaries here."

"The food is really good, I think.  Some people have problems with it, but I think it tastes great!  We hardly ever have traditional breakfast foods which is exactly what I'm talking about."

"Every companionship needs to be a trio.  The spirit is SO vital to being on a mission.  If you don't have the spirit with you, then you are not doing it right.  The Holy Ghost is so cool.  Everyone always says how cool it would be to see an angel, which of course would be really cool, but we as members of the church have something even cooler than that that can be with us all the time!  We have an actual member of the Godhead to be at our side all the time if we live worthily and do what's right."

"A former general authority gave a talk on our Tuesday night devotional about the significance of "in the name of Jesus Christ."  It made me realize that the things I say in prayers need to be of the utmost importance, not the desires of a selfish heart.  Those words aren't just a way to end a testimony, prayer, or anything else.  We pray to God, our Heavenly Father in Christ's name."

"One of the biggest joys of putting on my tag each day is the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, front and center."
