Elder Kyle Andrus

Hello Everybody!!!

This week was very interesting. lots of things going on. We started teaching an awesome new investigator! Ching Wei! She is an adorable little Taiwanese girl!!! She is literally the happiest person i have ever met. She smiles constantly. In her first prayer after we taught her how to prey on our park bench, she prayed for every single person in the world to be happy. It was the funniest thing because that is exactly what i would have expected from her. She is so solid. I expect her to recieve the gospel well and be able to become part of christs church on the earth. She came to church and has made some friends with recent converts!!! Everything is looking up for our happy taiwanese friend!

Gopal. What on earth. God really wants him baptized. We were walking around selly oak when we ran into gopal on wednesday. He has been avoiding us so that we wouldnt talk to him. So we ran into him. We asked when we could meet for the next time and he said that he would call us last night. He didnt call. We called him, and he ignored our call. So, we kept calling us and he kept avoiding us. And then on friday, guess what. we ran into him again. We asked him when we could see him and he said sunday. So we were a little skeptical that he would be there in the meeting. But there he was. I think he knew that this had to be a sign. He must have been an elect member of gods army in heaven because Hevanly Father really wants him on his team. We are meeting with him again and praying for a date that he can be baptized.

Fiona. Fiona. Fiona. We had an amazing lesson with her on wednesday about the word of wisdom and not smoking. She said that she needed this so bad. She said she needed the holy ghost so bad and that these commandments were exactly what she needs in this life. But she then flogged us 2 days in a row. We called her, and she said she was at her moms house. She couldnt come to church. And last night she said she didnt want to be baptized on the 21st. We were just scratching our heads. We didnt know why this happened. Not coming to church can put some bad ideas into your head. So we are teaching her tuesday and hopefully all will go well.

Christian. The crazy romainian. this guy. Every time we meet he brings us subway. So hilarious. He brings us so much food. And he talks so much so we can hardly get a lesson in with him. But he had a problem where he couldnt work so we took him to the lds employment specialist in our ward and he has been hanging out with him getting help and stuff. he came to a childs baptism in the ward and he loved it. he just kept thanking us for being in his life at this time and he said he knows god put us here. We have a date with him on the 21st so hopefully all goes well.

My birthday was so fun. Me and the District leader elder aldredge have the same birthday. so some of his investigators threw us a birthday party after church. We had to break our fast a little early but that is okay! We are going into birmingham city center and eating at a chinese buffet called ming moon. And we are going to walk around there and hang out this pday. So YAY!

I want to thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers. They mean so much to me and i can totally feel them working in my life. The mission is so crazy that i am actually out here. But it is so fun and rewarding. I love all of you guys so much.
