Elder Clay Rawlins

Hey all how are you? I hope your week was awesome! Sorry for not being able to write you all last week i was a little slow and i am not so sure why. Well anyways one big highlight of last week was an asado... they are the best the meat here is super rico. but i hope its not for the fact that they eat trash like litteral trash haha yepp last week my comp and i were walking and we saw a herd of cattle eating in a trash pile... we also built a cement roof for a member in villegas. construction is different here. but it works i guess.

anyways my past week was great we had the opportunity of having our travel assistent Elder Ocampo come and he was with us in our area for a few days. He taught us so many things that helped us to become better missionaries. Somithing i read this week in the book of mormon in the first part of 1Nephi really struck me. When Nephi and his brothers are returning from jeruselm with the family of ismael the older brothers of nephi began to complain and nephi tried to help them and telling through there faith in the lord they will be blessed. but they tie him up and are going to leave him to die in the dessert. then nephi shows his faith by praying to the lord for strength to break the cords off his wrists  and it was through his faith that he could. I learned that we need to have faith in the lord and he will always help us to succeed and there is always a way for us to do the things of the lord!

I hope all have a great week! remember the lord this christmas season!
